Can CDIC solve Your Problems

Whether you have a single tooth missing with lots of remaining bone or are wearing full dentures and have very little bone remaining, dental implants could be the answer to your problems. Having undertaken many cases CDIC is in the position to restore your mouth to full function using dental implants and bone augmentation where necessary.

Many people today, although they want replacement teeth, recognise the long term problems associated with drilling large amounts of healthy tooth away, to enable the construction of a bridge and so are turning to dental implants.

Single missing teeth, especially front teeth, have unique demands. They must be replaced without harming your remaining teeth or gum tissue, and must mimic your own teeth in both appearance and function. Just as importantly the gum surrounding the implant tooth must also match that of the surrounding natural teeth. The replacement tooth must look and feel natural so that neither you, nor others, can tell the difference.

Implant supported tooth with no drilling of adjacent teeth
Final restoration looks and feels just like a normal tooth

…a dental implant supported crown makes this possible

Similarly, if you have more than one tooth missing, this gap would normally be replaced with a bridge or a denture and may rely on the use, and possible damage of nearby teeth. An implant prosthesis, however, is free standing and adjacent teeth are not compromised. With the correct planning, excellent aesthetics can be achieved

…a dental implant supported bridge makes this possible

Lower and upper dentures prove, for most people, to be more of a problem than simple tooth loss, affecting comfort, ability to chew food , ability to speak properly, even self image and social considerations. The answer is to provide teeth which are stable, without using denture adhesives, and teeth which will fulfil your expectations for appearance , confidence and security. The perfect replacement teeth must look natural, feel secure, and maintain your confidence, even in the company of others.

…a replacement full upper or lower implant supported prosthesis makes this possible.

How can CIDC Solve your problem?

At your initial consultation with CDIC, x-rays will be taken, your dental health and oral hygiene assessed and your problem evaluated. Should dental implants be considered suitable for you, the implant procedure is as follows:

Stage1
The surgeon places a metal (titanium) root in your jaw. While the root bonds to your bone, you are able to wear either temporary dentures or bridges. Should a tooth require extraction prior to implant treatment, it is often possible to extract the tooth and place the implant directly into the extraction socket at the same appointment. The healing process normally takes 3-6 months, but in some instance, a temporary prosthesis may be placed immediately onto the implant.

Stage2
The surgeon attaches an extension on the metal root to bring it through the gum.

In a large proportion of cases, it is now possible to combine stages 1 and 2 in the same appointment, thus reducing the healing time, in certain cases to as little as 1 month.

Stage3
The surgeon or your dentist, together with a dental technician, then creates a final tooth, bridge or denture. The artificial crown or bridge is attached with either cement or a screw.

Stage4
Proper brushing, flossing and regular check-ups will help you maintain your dental implants in perfect condition.

It will be necessary for you to return to CDIC on a yearly or two yearly basis for long term evaluation of implant stability, routine radiographic checks and professional cleaning of the implant prosthesis.
