New Patients

From the time you make your appointment to the completion of your treatment, the entire focus will be on individual care and attention.

Your first appointment is with a dentist who will give you advice about your individual treatment options. Your time is valuable and we do not wish to waste it by giving you generalisations about your options. Your first appointment, therefore, will give you specific options pertaining to your individual circumstances.

You will be asked to attend the practice 30 minutes prior to your appointment time as, initially, there will be a New Patient Questionnaire to complete – this involves answering questions on your medical and dental health and how you would like your teeth to look or function. It is this questionnaire which forms the basis of initial discussions with your dentist.

Time will be taken at your appointment to discuss in detail how you would like your teeth to look or function as it is very important we achieve the smile you always wanted.

Your teeth, gums and soft tissues will be thoroughly checked and any necessary radiographs will be taken.

Photographs of your existing smile will be taken for our clinical records and they will only be used for other purposes if we have your full permission.

Normally, your dentist will be able to give you a ball park figure for the cost of your treatment at this stage.

After the consultation with your dentist, you will be accompanied to our seminar room by your nurse who will go through the treatment which has been discussed and explain the format of a written quotation. Should you wish to go ahead with the suggested course of treatment and require a full written quote, the cost of the written quote is £100.00 as this is very detailed and takes some time to prepare. If you accept the terms of the quote, the £100.00 is then refunded from the total cost of your treatment.

You will receive a written quotation within a week of your consultation (post permitting) and once we receive the signed quote and any finance (if chosen) is in place, appointments will then be made for your treatment to commence.

We will give you the treatment options we feel are appropriate for the smile you wish to achieve and we will never compromise any clinical restraints. At all times, we will keep you fully informed and work with you to give the highest standards of care and attention.
