I qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1994 whilst serving
in The Royal Air Force. I left The RAF in 1999 when
I started my Family and moved back home to Middlesbrough.
I joined the practice in 1999 and thoroughly enjoy
being part of such a fantastic team.
The highlight of my career so far is being awarded
The Hygienist of the Year Award 2009. This was a national
award open to all hygienists. I was pleased to have
been on the shortlist of 5 who were invited to The Dental
Awards ceremony in London, but when my name was announced
as the winner I was totally overwhelmed.
I am a member of The British Society of Dental Hygienists
and Therapists and an associate member of The British
Society of Periodontologists. I regularly attend meetings
and courses to extend my knowledge and further my education.
In my spare time I am a part time taxi driver to my
2 lovely children, I try to get to the gym as much as
possible and for my sins I have a season ticket at Middlesbrough
Football Club.
