CASE 9 – Combination of Implants and conventional bridgework

Mrs H from Norton born 1931

Mrs H was referred to CDIC by her own dentist to see if CDIC could help to solve a problem. Mrs H wore a partial upper denture that was held in by her remaining teeth but that two of these teeth were in a very poor condition and would require extracting. Once extracted the denture would have very little retention and would drop down easily causing embarrassment and difficulty in eating. It was decided to place three implants on the patients right hand side, that would support a four unit bridge, and to use the patients remaining natural teeth on her left hand side to carry a bridge.

Mrs H’s appearance without her denture in
Following implant and conventional bridgework note how it is almost impossible to tell the difference between the two types of treatment.
The final smiles says it all.

The total cost of Mrs H’s treatment if it had been carried out today would be £6,500.
